Raw Material Preparation

Selecting Suitable Steel: The raw materials for galvanized perforated metal sheets are generally high-quality steel, such as low-carbon steel and stainless steel. The choice of steel should be based on the actual application scenario and requirements. For example, low-carbon steel can be used for galvanized perforated metal sheets used for interior decoration, while stainless steel is recommended for harsh outdoor environments to ensure corrosion resistance.

Inspecting Steel Quality: Conduct a rigorous quality inspection of the selected steel, checking for defects such as cracks, pinholes, and rust. Simultaneously, ensure that the dimensions of the steel meet production requirements, including thickness, width, and length.

 

Punching Process

Die Design and Fabrication: Based on the requirements of the galvanized perforated metal sheet's hole diameter, hole shape, and hole spacing, design and fabricate the corresponding punching dies. The quality of the die directly affects the punching accuracy and efficiency; therefore, high-quality die materials and advanced processing techniques must be used.

Punching Equipment Debugging: Install the fabricated die onto the punching equipment and debug it. Debugging includes adjusting parameters such as pressure, speed, and stroke to ensure the equipment operates normally and the punching quality meets requirements.

Punching Operation: Place the prepared steel material on the punching equipment's worktable. The equipment's punching action punches out the required hole shape into the steel. During the punching process, carefully control the punching speed and pressure to avoid problems such as hole deformation and burrs.

 

Galvanizing Treatment
Surface Pretreatment
Before galvanizing, the perforated steel must undergo surface pretreatment to remove impurities such as oil and rust. Common pretreatment methods include pickling and phosphating.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing or Electro-Galvanizing
Hot-Dip Galvanizing: The pretreated steel is immersed in molten zinc, forming a zinc layer on the surface. Hot-dip galvanizing offers advantages such as a thick zinc layer and strong corrosion resistance, making it suitable for perforated metal sheets exposed to harsh environments for extended periods.

Electro-Galvanizing: Zinc ions are deposited onto the steel surface through electrolysis to form a zinc layer. Electro-galvanizing produces a uniform and aesthetically pleasing zinc layer, making it suitable for perforated metal sheets where appearance is critical.

 

Galvanizing Quality Inspection
The galvanized perforated metal sheets are inspected for quality, checking the thickness, uniformity, and adhesion of the zinc layer to ensure they meet requirements. Any problems are addressed promptly.

Cutting and Packaging

Cutting: The galvanized perforated metal sheets are cut to the required sizes and shapes according to customer needs. Use a sharp blade when cutting to ensure clean, smooth edges.

Packaging: Pack the cut galvanized perforated metal sheet to prevent damage during transportation and storage. Common packaging materials include plastic film and cardboard boxes. The packaging should clearly indicate the product specifications, model, quantity, and other information.
